What goes on? Well over the course of the last week I’ve gotten 2 raises. Yes, two. Overall a 15% increase in pay, but still far from what I’d like to be making but everyone has to start somewhere I suppose.
Working everyday 9-5, going through the same motions so to speak day in and day out without any “mental exercise” so to speak provides the perfect recipe for slipping into being completely absorbed by work and the pursuit of money. Not that I don’t enjoy working, its just a change from school where as even though I didn’t always like what I was being shoveled, sometimes against my will, into my brain at least it was learning something. more on this stuff later…
This weekend was a relaxing one spent up at Marist visiting Sarah, and I was completely content just hanging out with her and talking….well seeing The Corpse Bride was kinda cool too. The whole going out and getting drunk and partying seems, for the most part, to have run its course as I assume most things do in peoples’ lives. I enjoyed my time in college and after returning to school to visit for about the third time the attitude of been there, done that has finally solidified in my mind.
